Like their movie namesakes, these bonded sisters are an unforgettable duo—opposite personalities that fit together perfectly.
Thelma is the heart: gentle, a little shy at first, but full of love once she feels safe (and especially if there’s gravy involved!). Louise is the courage: curious, confident, and always looking out for her sister. Found together under a car in Detroit, they’ve been inseparable ever since.
Both are absolutely gorgeous — each striking in her own way — and their bond is as strong as it is heartwarming. They’re looking for a forever home where they can stay side by side.

Adoption fees are as follows: $155 for a single cat or kitten, $195 for a pair of cats or kittens. When adopting a cat from AHSEM the adoption includes spay or neuter surgery, age-appropriate core vaccines, microchipping, combo tested (for FIV/FeLV), and basic wellness care including deworming and flea treatment.

AHSEM treats every adoption as "foster to adopt" This means that the first two weeks in which you have the cat is the "foster period." We do our best to ensure the right match for all involved and want to give the cat(s) time to decompress and adapt to their new environment. However, we realize sometimes things don't work out as expected. Therefore, during that two-week period, if something doesn’t work out you can bring the cat back. We will always take our cats back even after the "foster to adopt" period. We would hate to see them end up at a kill shelter, abandoned, or any other unsafe situation.
