Meet Ordelia (A534493)!

Ordelia is a gentle, thoughtful pup who is still learning how to feel confident in new situations. She can be a little nervous at first, but she warms up quickly—especially if you have a few tasty treats to share. She takes them gently and appreciates kind words and soft pets.

On walks, Ordelia does beautifully—she’s easy to leash, curious about her surroundings, and enjoys quietly observing the world around her. While she’s still figuring out dog-to-dog interactions, she’s tolerant and would likely do best with calm, respectful canine friends or as the only dog where she can blossom at her own pace.

This sweet girl is looking for a patient and loving adopter who will give her the time and reassurance she needs to truly shine. With trust and kindness, Ordelia is sure to become a devoted companion.

The Adoption Center is open M,T,Th,Fr from 12-7pm and Saturday & Sunday from 12-5pm. The Shelter is closed to the public on Wednesdays.

The Montgomery County Animal Services and Adoption Center (MCASAC), proudly operated by the Montgomery County Office of Animal Services, provides high-standard sheltering and care to the homeless, abused, and neglected animals in Montgomery County and ensures the safety and welfare of the county’s citizens.

The Center’s doors are open to all animals in need from: dogs and cats to farm animals, wildlife, and exotics. Trained staff provide animals with daily care, mental and physical enrichment, health and wellness checks, and more. Through adoptions, spay and neuter assistance, vaccination clinics, education and outreach, the Center serves as a critical community resource to promote and advocate for responsible pet care. With community support and partnerships with other animal-welfare groups, our Foster, Rescue and Volunteer programs enhance and save the lives of even more homeless animals.
