Male - neutered St. Bernard x Mastiff Mix Approx. 1 year, 9 months old
I am hoping to find my forever home soon. I've been the longest resident here, having arrived in April 2025 as a transfer to reach a new audience of potential adopters. Despite my efforts to charm everyone with my friendly nature, I've been overlooked. I'm determined to find the perfect family who will appreciate my unique personality and quirks.
When it comes to meeting new people, I am generally friendly but can be a bit cautious and selective. I thrive in the company of adult humans and enjoy their companionship. However, I must admit that I'm not a fan of children, so it's best for me to be in a home without little ones to ensure everyone's comfort and happiness.
I have a few key motivators that bring out the best in me: toys, treats, people, and praise. I love a tasty snack, but moderation is key to keeping me healthy and happy. While I've mastered basic obedience, I still have a big puppy demeanor that sometimes shows in my leash skills. I'm known for creating my own symphony by flipping my dish around and pulling the stuffing out of plush toys-what can I say, I'm a musician at heart!
I long to be the King of my castle. When it comes to other dogs, I am quite selective, but with time and proper introductions, I might slowly warm up to playdates. However, I would truly thrive in a home where I can be the solo pet, soaking up all the love and attention. I must confess, I'm not fond of furry felines, so a cat-free home is essential.
If you're looking for a loyal, fun-loving companion who will fill your home with joy and laughter, I might just be the perfect match for you. Primary Color: White Secondary Color: Brindle Weight: 42 Age: 1yrs 9mths 2wks

Additional adoption info
All pets available for adoption through the Georgina Animal Shelter and Adoption Centre are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and will have received a parasite preventative or treatment. Adoption fees are $300 for dogs and $175 for cats plus tax. If applicable, the purchase of a pet license will be required at the time of adoption.
Before considering pet adoption, potential pet parents are encouraged to do their own research on the type of pet that they are interested in adopting. Different breeds, for example, can have very different exercise needs or may be prone to certain genetic conditions. It is also a good idea to speak with your local veterinarian to gain insight about the type of pet you are considering adopting and the initial and yearly animal care costs involved with pet ownership.
All adoptions require an application and an in person or phone consultation prior to be being approved.
