Approve Application
Although applications are considered as they are received, the adoption candidate selected will be based on the most suitable match.

Sign Adoption Contract
Please have a valid form of government issued photo ID at the time of adoption.

Pay Fee
Payment may be made by cash, debit, or credit (MC or Visa)

Take the Pet Home
Each pet parent will receive a follow up call or email to ensure that their pet is settling in and to answer any questions they may have.

All pets available for adoption through the Georgina Animal Shelter and Adoption Centre are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and will have received a parasite preventative or treatment. Adoption fees are $300 for dogs and $175 for cats plus tax. If applicable, the purchase of a pet license will be required at the time of adoption.
Before considering pet adoption, potential pet parents are encouraged to do their own research on the type of pet that they are interested in adopting. Different breeds, for example, can have very different exercise needs or may be prone to certain genetic conditions.
