My name is Poseidon!

Hello! My name is Poseidon, and while I might look like a mighty titan, I’m really just a big softie who thinks he`s a lap dog.

I was found in the recent floods and since then the world has been a bit overwhelming for me, but I’ve been taking it one paw at a time, learning to trust and grow at my own pace. I’ve had some wonderful friends during my foster journey and even met one of those curious creatures called a cat! I did great with my friends, but let`s be honest—I prefer the spotlight to be all on me.

The outside world can be a little scary, so I’ll need a patient and supportive family who can help me take things slow. In return, I promise to be a loyal, affectionate companion who will always be by your side.

The Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter is open every day from noon to 6pm (excluding limited holidays/events). You can meet our adoptable animals with the convenience of an appointment or as a walk-in. Appointments can be made by emailing adoption@wilco.org.

In addition to our main shelter at 1855 SE Inner Loop, Georgetown, TX 78626, you can also meet adoptable dogs at our satellite location, the Red Poppy Adoptique, located at 110 W L Walden Dr, Georgetown, TX 78626.

Looking for a fun way to make a difference? Try our Doggy Day Out program! Take one of our pups on an adventure for a few hours-giving them a much-needed break from the shelter while you enjoy some quality time. The program runs at both locations daily starting at noon.

We always welcome your dogs to come and meet our dogs, too! We`ll see you soon at either location!
