My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Adeline’s life changed when she was rescued while expecting kittens. In the safety of her foster home, she gave birth to five healthy little ones, and together they thrived. Her kittens grew strong and playful, while Adeline showed herself to be a gentle, loving cat.

She enjoys attention and pets, leaning into affection with quiet gratitude, but she’s never demanding. Adeline has a calm way about her—she wants to be close, yet she respects space. She still needs to put on a little weight, but she’s healthy and steadily gaining with good care.

Like many curious cats, Adeline has a habit of counter surfing, though she’s learning quickly that the counters aren’t hers to explore. Aside from that, she has excellent manners. She behaves well in the home, adapts easily, and seems to love everything around her—people, cozy spots, and the rhythm of family life.

Adeline is the kind of cat who brings warmth without fuss. She’s affectionate, well-behaved, and full of quiet joy, making her a wonderful companion for anyone ready to share their home with her.

All of the cats and kittens adopted from St. Francis have been vaccinated, tested for FeLV/FIV, dewormed, treated for fleas and ticks, spayed or neutered and microchipped. We do our best to ensure that the pet you adopt is healthy and happy.

Go meet their pets

Because we are a foster rescue, we do not have a shelter or physical location. To meet our cats and kittens, please phone or email us to arrange a date and time meet them. You can also meet our cats at our Meet and Greet events.

Two Saturdays each month, St. Francis holds a Meet and Greet event from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm at the PetSmart store in Forest Lake, MN. Anyone wishing to meet our cats and kittens is invited to attend our Meet and Greet events. We have a quiet room where potential adopters and meet and socialize with any cats/kittens that they are interested in adopting.

More about this rescue

St. Francis Animal Rescue (SFAAR) is a volunteer, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. We are dedicated to rescuing and rehoming homeless, neglected, stray and otherwise unwanted cats and kittens. Until they are adopted, our rescued cats live in loving foster homes as part of the family while we learn about their personalities, behaviors and temperaments. Foster families work with their cats/kittens to teach them good manners, care for any medical problems, and address any behavior issues. This information helps our adoption counselors match the perfect pet for you and your family.
