I’m a darling, 2 1/2-year-old, 44-pound Hound mix, with the softest fur ever, a tail that never stops wagging, a cute, expressive face, and an exuberant, friendly, delightful personality. I’m even already housebroken. I’m quite a remarkable little guy, when you consider my life and everything I’ve been through. I’ve been homeless for way too long. I was transferred to Wayside what seems like a lifetime ago from a shelter in Hawaii that didn’t have space for me. Maybe being a native Hawaiian is the reason why I’m not fond of the cold Midwest winters here in KC. Brr! The long trip to start my new life was confusing and scary yet exciting at the same time. I was diagnosed with dry eyes, so I will need eye drops and regular vet visits for the rest of my life. The good news is that my eye drops make my eyes feel so much better, and I don’t mind getting them put in. Sadly, here at Wayside, I seem to keep getting passed over for adoption. No one can figure out why, because I’m such a nice friend. Meanwhile, I was able to spend a few glorious weeks in a loving foster home as I wait for you to find me. It was such a nice break from shelter life! I’m back at Wayside now, rejuvenated and ready for you! I hope you come for me soon.
Life in my foster home was incredible! I didn’t have accidents and I could be trusted to roam free in the house even when no one was home. Please give me a little extra time to get settled in and to learn which things are mine, though. I’ve been through so much change and insta
