My Friends at Wayside say: - I have been described as an easy going lap dog! - Volunteers say that I walk well on leash here at the shelter. - I have medical needs - our team would be happy to tell you more! - I am eligible for a Slumber Pawty, a 7-10 day in-home trial period. Please visit our website for additional information.
My home needs are: - I must meet other dogs in the home before adoption to ensure that we can be buddies. - Cats are much too interesting to me, so Wayside recommends my home be cat-free.
Hey there, I’m Travis!
I’m a 2-year-old hound mix with a heart full of love, soft velvety fur, and a tail that never stops wagging. I’m what you’d call an easygoing, sweet-natured guy, and once you meet me, I’ll probably wiggle my way right into your heart…and your lap, if you let me!
I love being near people! Whether we’re out on an adventure or snuggled up on the couch. I’m a cuddle enthusiast through and through, and I’ve been told my fur is the softest around (I fully agree). Give me some love and a cozy spot next to you, and I’m one happy hound.
I’m also a playtime pro, especially when it comes to my stuffies. I just love carrying them around and having a little fun! But I’ve also got a solid sense of adventure. I enjoy exercise, hiking, exploring new places, and taking leisurely walks where I can let my nose lead the way (I am a hound, after all).
I do really well with other dogs, but I’d need to meet any new dog friends before we become besties, just to make sure we’re a good match. I also probably shouldn’t live with cats... they’re just a little too interesting to me. But when it comes to dogs and humans, I love good company and would thrive in a home where I can be part of the fun.
Whether you`re an active adventurer or a homebody looking for a snuggle buddy, I can fit right in. I’m happy to go with the flow, as long as I’ve got love, playtime, and someone to share my day with. If you’re looking for a sweet, affectionate, low-maintenance pal with a big heart and a soft coat, I might be your perfect match. Meet me soon, okay?
Love, Travis
