Newest Update: Jessie has flourished in his foster home. He has become a very playful teenage cat who is always near his people. He will follow you around and snuggle next to you at night but not on you. Like many cats Jessie bonds through toys , treats and play and will take a little time to get comfortable with new people and animals. He has acclimated a few times to new people and animals while in his current foster home. Jessie has become more effectionate, the longer he has time to bond with us. He would do well in an active home with another pet.
Jessie is a bundle of energy and curiosity. This active explorer loves to chase feather wand toys, bat any small toy across the floor, and invent new games. Jessie gets along with dogs and cats when he is given a slow introduction to a new environment. Although Jessie thrives on play and being near people he is shy and anxious about being picked up. He's still learning to trust hands and can get nervous when you try to scoop him up, so he's looking for a human who will bond with him through playtime and gentle patience.

Approved Applicants may choose to preadopt a dog. This is done by paying the adoption fee to place the pup on hold until a meet and greet.
