My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rye Bread came from a neglectful home where he was tied outside and escaped often. When returned to his owner, they said they were moving soon and could not keep him. Fearing he would be dumped, my husband and I took him in. Unfortunately, we have two elderly dogs that want nothing to do with him, so he has to be kept separately. Rye wants nothing more than to be next to his human. He deserves a home and family of his own.

He has loved everyone he's met, but he can be a little shy with new men. He is ready for a home that will give him plenty of exercise and a lap to cuddle in after a day of playing. He is young, and still learning his own strength, so he would do best in a home without young children. We have learned that Rye has barrier aggression, so he needs to be introduced to animals carefully and cannot meet new people through a fence.

Rye does not have an adoption fee, but any interested party will need to be vetted.
