My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

🖤 Clara & Cora – Bonded Best Friends 🖤

Clara and Cora are a loving bonded pair who have shared every part of life together. Their connection is strong and comforting — you’ll often find them curled up side by side or quietly following one another from room to room.

Clara is the slightly more outgoing sister, greeting you with gentle curiosity and a soft, steady purr. She enjoys cozy blankets, relaxing nearby, and joining in on playtime. Cora is her sweet, soulful counterpart, a bit more reserved at first but deeply affectionate once she feels safe. She thrives on calm companionship and loves being close once trust is built.

Together, they are the perfect balance of playful and peaceful. They enjoy wand toys, sunny spots for lounging, and long afternoon naps together. Clara and Cora would do best in a home that appreciates their gentle nature and the special bond they share.

These two are ready to find a forever home where they can stay together and bring warmth, comfort, and twice the love into someone’s life.

More about this shelter

The Appalachian Highlands Humane Society is a private non-profit 501(c)3 charitable organization dedicated to the welfare of all animals. We do not receive public or government funding, and no monies from national humane organizations or county, state or federal government funds. Our work depends solely on grants, fundraisers, adoptions, private funding, memberships and donations. The fees collected from the adoption of each animal help to offset some of the costs involved in providing care for the animals and preparing an animal for placement into a new home. We value every animal equally and consider all to be priceless
Please visit our website, www.ahumanesociety.org for more information.
