MEET VON!!

Von is a very affectionate and loving boy who thrives on attention and cuddles. He truly lights up when you come home, showing his excitement with joyful energy and tail wags. Von loves being close to his people and will happily curl up next to you for hours of snuggles. He just has a super sweet nature!

Von is quite clever and curious, so he needs an owner who understands his playful, sometimes stubborn personality, and a good strong pack leader will be beneficial. He is an impressive jumper, so he will need a home with a taller block wall. He has had good intros/ meeting with other dogs, but does best living in a home as the only dog, where he can get all the love and attention he craves without competition. Unfortunately given his breed has a strong prey drive, so no cats or small animals. Overall, Von is a loving, loyal dog who just needs the right family that can give him structure, attention, and a safe environment to thrive.

Additional adoption info

All potential adopters will be required to complete our Adoption Application, read and sign our Adopting Policies and Procedures, and participate in a home visit by one of our adoption representatives. Our Adoption Application is located on our website: www.underdogaz.com.

We also have a mandatory two-week Foster With Intent to Adopt trial period for all animals in order to be certain the pet is a good fit for your family.

Our standard adoption fee for dogs is $200; puppies are $250.

Non-standard fees do sometimes apply. Puppies younger than six months may have a higher fee. Designer dogs, purebreds, and other toy type breeds may also have higher adoption fees than the standard $200.

We do, however, have discounted fees for dogs that are seniors, a pair of dogs adopted together, or cats. If you are a veteran or an active duty service member, please ask about our partnership with Pets For Patriots.

All Underdog pets are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped prior to adoption.

We are a 501c3 non profit, your donations save lives and are 100% tax deductible.

Underdog Rescue of Az is an all volunteer organization dedicated to the rescuing and re-homing of abandoned and/or abused dogs.

We are a foster-based rescue, and do not maintain a physical base of operations. All of our animals are placed with loving, caring safe foster families until they are adopted. We are also an "All Breed" rescue, and do not discriminate based on breed, age, size, etc.

Underdog's mission also includes educating the public on the issue of animal welfare. We strive to promote shelter reform, spay and neuter education and emergency rescue information & assistance.
