Anakin represents the Collie breed well and if you are looking for a strikingly handsome Collie with intelligence, an adventurous spirit, and loving demeanor, Anakin is the Collie for you! Anakin is good with dogs, cats, and all humans. He will be fine with children who are sturdy on their feet as he is a big boy who likes to play. Anakin is very social, energetic in play with other dogs, and loves a rousing game of tug. He likes to be active, but can also be calm, quiet, and relaxed. He is always ready for affection, snuggle time, Collie whispers, and kisses. He easily self-occupies with durable chew toys, balls, and bones. Because of his long luxurious coat, he gets hot easily and benefits from indoor and outdoor play during the coolest parts of the day. He enjoys regular brushing and grooming. Make it fun and add some breaks and he is all in. He loves the personal interaction.
Anakin is very intelligent, observant, and attentive to handling. He knows the basic cues of kennel, come, sit, shake, and touch. He has solid leash skills with an emerging ability to heel. His athleticism and trainability make him a great candidate for a Collie hobby such as agility or obedience. Anakin is kennel trained and sleeps quietly through the night. He will be able to sleep loose in the house once he sufficiently transitions to the rules and routines of his new home.
