My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Andi — A Mellow Old Soul in a Teen Kitten Body seeking her furever home.

Andi is a gentle teen kitten with the heart of an old soul. She is soft, shy, and a little timid at first but once she feels safe, she becomes an absolute purr machine who melts under gentle attention. Her favorite thing in the world? Belly rubs. She will stretch out, close her eyes, and purr like she has known you forever.

Andi also gets along beautifully with other cats. In fact, she often takes comfort in their presence and will quietly hide behind the more confident kitties when she is unsure. A friendly feline role model can help her feel safe and supported as she grows.

She will thrive in a calm, cozy home with someone willing to continue helping her build confidence at her own pace. She is not a high-energy whirlwind kitty. Andi is a mellow, thoughtful girl who loves quiet moments, soft voices, and humans who move gently through her world. She needs a serene home without kids and dogs so she feels safe.

If you are looking for a tender-hearted companion with a peaceful presence, Andi might be your perfect match. With patience and kindness, she will reward you with deep trust, sweet purrs, and the gentlest love. Additional adoption info

Since we make a lifetime commitment to any animal that comes into our program, we only adopt out animals to people in our area..

If you are interested in adopting a CAWS cat or dog, please fill out the online application at http://www.caws.org/application/, email adopt@caws.org or call 328-4731. For the most timely response applying online is recommended.

We respond as quickly as possible but as we are a volunteer based organization and do not have full time staff, we respond as quickly as possible.

Go meet their pets

CAWS does not have a conventional shelter facility - all CAWS animals waiting for adoption are in foster homes. The number of animals we can help find new homes for is closely linked to how many CAWS foster homes are available. For additional information regarding how you, too, can become a foster, please see our fostering page located on our web site!

CAWS volunteers bring cats and dogs to the PetSmart near 2100 South and 300 West in South Salt Lake on the third and fourth weekends of each month

We are also at the Sugarhouse PETCO (1165 Wilmington Ave) the first Saturday of each month.
