Here's what the humans have to say about me:
PLEASE NOTE This particular cat is being fostered in the *MERCED AREA*.
Meet & greets are ideally done there, however it's sometimes it's possible we can arrange a meet & greet In Elk Grove or Roseville. Please fill out application below.
Meet Jason, the fluffy little shadow who will happily trail you from room to room, eager to be involved in every moment of your day. Overflowing with affection, Jason will shower you with cuddles and is never far from your side. His love is practically legendary! When he isn’t busy doting on his people, you’ll find him “working” at the computer, purchasing the software he thinks you need or catching a well-deserved nap on the keyboard. With his gentle nature and curiosity, Jason even has the potential to learn some impressive tricks.
Jason is a popular guy, effortlessly winning over not only his human companions but also the other foster kittens, as well as the resident cats and dogs in his foster home. He enjoys playtime and being held, making him a great match for families with children of all ages and with other pets. If you’re looking for a devoted, playful, and endlessly loving kitten, Jason is ready to make himself at home in your heart.
***WHY MISSION MEOW IS BEST TO ADOPT FROM:***
***Complete Information
You get to speak directly to the foster family who have the kittens in their care!
No one knows the kittens better than the people who have had them for the last several weeks or more. They will give you full details as to personality, background, quirks, likes/dislikes, ETC. Since adopting a pet is a commitment for the next 15-20 years, you want as much information as possible to make the best decision.
***Private, quiet meet & greets
You get to visit the kittens in their own current environment where they run free so their true personality shines through. Our kittens arenâÂÂt subjected to noisy stores and stressful cages and you wonâÂÂt be competing with other annoying people for your desired kittens.
***Quality over Quantity
We are a small rescue so we can focus on each kitten individually to provide personalized medical & socialization protocols. Because we do not overcrowd, our cats do not pass contagious diseases to each other.
***Veterinary Care
We balance a mix of holistic & conventional protocols to keep our kittens healthy. We use high quality disease preventatives & medication when necessary. Mission Meow only wants the best medical care for our kittens, so we donâÂÂt skimp on those costs AT ALL. We work closely with our vet to come up with a plan for any kittens who may be ill and to prevent any unnecessary and over medicating. Three local veterinarians have adopted from us after observing the quality of our kittens.
***FOOD:
Our kittens are nourished with high-quality food. We âÂÂve been offered free /discounted food from other companies but we choose to use the best option even if it costs more for us.
***Resident Pet/Child Safety
While no one can guarantee the health of any living being, we do our best to make sure your adopted kitten does not have any issues such as parasitic worms that can be passed on to your resident pets or children. We have a very thorough deworming protocol using the best products on the market and the proper duration. Most places adopt kittens while they are in between showing signs of intestinal worms. Not us.
***POST ADOPTION SUPPORT
It is extremely rare that we have any issues post adoption, but if there were any that presented themselves, we would work with you towards a resolution. We pride ourselves on the one-on-one relationships we build with our adopters.
By private appointment in Rocklin/Roseville/Lincoln/Citrus Heights/Auburn CA area, or at Bark Avenue Rocklin

*****ADOPTION PROCESS:*****
APPLICATION:
Please contact us and we will send you an online application. A response is usually given with 24-48 hrs if we think it's a potentially good match.
INTERVIEW:
An adoption counselor will contact you via phone to answer any questions and if it seems like a good fit, arrangements will be made for all parties to meet with desired cat(s) at a mutually agreeable time.
APPROVAL:
If adoption is approved, a contract and adoption fee to cover veterinary costs will be required. You will be given medical files.
TIME FRAME:
Based on volunteer availability, it is possible for all adoption steps to be completed the same day, however, it is not guaranteed. Please note that occasionally a home check, vet records/references, etc may be required and multiple people may be interested in the same cat(s) so additional time may be necessary. You are also welcome to get the kitten an appointment with your own veterinarian at your expense prior to adoption, just be aware that may delay the adoption by several days.
WHY:
Our adoption vetting process ensures a proper feline fit for your family. You may be a wonderful pet owner but may not be the best fit for a particular cat, or other extenuating circumstances. Also, YOU may know you are a good pet owner, but we don't. We exist because too many people view pet ownership as casual or disposable so we want to be sure the best match is made for the next 15-20 years. Your patience and understanding as to where we are coming from are much appreciated. Our adoption process is also reflective of the extremely thorough medical protocol our kittens receive. Thank you!
