Lance is a wonderful, snuggle-filled, playful cat looking for his fur-ever home. In his free time, Lance enjoys chasing jingle balls all around the house, and when he`s finally tired, he crawls right up onto his humans` lap for recharging snuggles. Sometimes, Lance can get a little overwhelmed with how much love he has, so he does best with people who can read his cues and give him breaks when he needs them. Lance has tested positive for FIV, but that won’t stop him from living a full, happy life. Cats with FIV can enjoy the same love, play, and companionship as any other cat. FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) simply means Lance may need a bit of extra care to stay healthy, and it’s important to know it cannot be passed to people or other animals like dogs. Since FIV is only spread through deep bite wounds between cats, Lance would do best as the only cat in the home or with another FIV-positive kitty. What he’s really looking for is a loving home where he can relax, feel safe, and be cherished.

Come into the Centre and if you see a pet you like, you are able to do a "Meet and Greet" with that pet. Spend some time in alone with the pet or take a dog out for a short walk. If you are still interested in adopting the pet you can meet with one of our Adoption Counsellors who will have you fill out and application and will ask you some questions about the environment in which you live. If you seem like a wonderful match and your environment meets the needs of the pet then your application should be approved!

The Stratford Perth Humane Society supports Perth County, while the Kitchener Waterloo Humane Society supports Waterloo Region (less Cambridge) and began serving the community in 1927.
