My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

FOSTERED IN NEW BRUNSWICK

Meet Bruce Lee: A Brave Little Survivor
Bruce Lee is a charming 4 year-old pup, tipping the scales at just 7 pounds. Rescued from a challenging hoarding situation, he has shown incredible resilience and a friendly disposition. He's a happy little guy who is eager to find a forever home where he can continue to thrive.
Personality and Temperament
Although initially a bit scared due to his past experiences, he is a friendly and playful pup. He has a sunny disposition and is always ready to engage with his human friends, especially when treats are involved! His love for treats also makes him highly trainable, which is perfect for bonding and teaching him new tricks.
Health and Safety
Bruce Lee is up-to-date on all his vaccines, microchipped, and has been neutered. Additionally, he has tested negative for heartworms and has received the ProHeart 12 injection, which provides him with 12 months of heartworm protection. This ensures that he is in excellent health and ready to start his new life with confidence.
Suitable Home Environment
Due to his past, he is still a bit timid around sudden movements and would benefit from a calm and stable environment. Therefore, a home without young children would be best, as their quick movements might startle him. He would thrive in a household where he can receive plenty of love, patience, and gentle guidance.
Training and Behavior
Bruce Lee is potty pad trained, which is a great start for his indoor manners. While he loves to play, he needs some work on leash training. However, his intelligence and eagerness to please make him a quick learner. With a little patience and consistency, he will become a wonderful companion on walks and outdoor adventures.
Conclusion
Bruce Lee is a courageous little pup with a heart full of love to give. If you're looking for a smart, happy, and treat-loving friend who has overcome the odds, he might just be the perfect addition to your family. With the right environment and a bit of leash training, Bruce Lee is sure to bring joy and companionship to his new forever home.

More about this rescue

BMAR is a No-Kill facility: a place of safety for healthy adoptable animals, a home for the homeless, a haven for the mistreated, neglected, or abused animals of Sabine & surrounding counties. BMAR also runs a sanctuary for those deemed unadoptible due to medical and behavior issues.

100% Volunteer Rescue. We have no animal control, Humane Society, or SPCA operating in our area leaving animals in dire straights.

BMAR is dedicated to the prevention of cruelty & abuse to all animals & livestock.

We currently only adopt to states and Canada where we have a network in place to monitor animals and help with problems.

BMAR backs it's dogs for life and will take back no matter how long and at any time if circumstance arise and you cannot keep your pet.
