Hey there, everyone! I’m Albie (short for Albert), a gentle, endlessly affectionate, and adoring "bicolor" fella, which means that I'm mostly white with brown tabby on my head, tail, and "saddleback." My quiet charm and soft, expressive eyes embody what it means for a cat to be a true love bug. I don’t just enjoy soaking up Foster Meowmy’s loving attention – I live for it! When she picks me up, I melt in her arms with a soothing purr, and when I settle in her lap, I freely offer her my trust and warmth.
When Foster Meowmy rescued me off the mean streets of Houston, I looked pretty “rough for the wear.” The fur was rubbed off my nose, and I had puzzling purple stains on my paws and body. Obviously, someone – as well as the hardscrabble life of a stray -- had not treated me kindly. But what amazed her was that I chose love over fear. I approached her in hopes that she would see my inner worth despite my forlorn appearance. When I got close enough, I leaned into her for affection.
The resiliency of my gentle soul was truly remarkable, and she responded by taking me home with her. When I arrived, my curiosity got the best of me, and I explored my new surroundings with wide-eyed wonder. It didn’t take me long to realize that I’d hit the jack pot. In terms of “Pilgrim’s Progress,” I had gone from the “Slough of Despond” to the feline-version of the “Celestial City.” Since I’m submissive by nature, I was careful about pushing the boundaries with the resident cats. Yes, I know the importance of being a peacemaker.
I’ll always be grateful to Foster Meowmy for giving me a chance to find a happy, indoor home where I’ll be safe and cherished. So now I’m ready to share my beautiful heart with that forever family.
