My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Penny is a 2-year-old, 60 lb Chesapeake Bay Retriever/German Shepherd Mix who lives for fetch and snuggles! She’s housebroken, crate-trained, and a sweet girl at heart.

Penny is thriving in her foster home! She's a fast learner, eager to please, and has attentive obedience and leash skills. Penny is looking for an adopter who is ready to give her the structure, love, enrichment, and leadership an intelligent dog like her needs. She would make a fantastic adventure buddy and has even started agility training. She is playful and loves to fetch her ball, but also knows when it's time to relax and have downtime. She truly is a good girl that's the whole package! Please email sparisaves@gmail.com and/or submit an adoption application at https://www.spari.org/adoptions.

More about this rescue

Shepherd's Paws Animal Rescue was established in 2015 as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with the specific purpose of operating an all breed animal rescue. We are dedicated to providing rescue to abandoned, abused, neglected and homeless animals. We rescue dogs in the United States from imminent death at animal shelters, humane societies, pounds, and from owners who can no longer keep their dogs, and place them into new and permanent adoptive homes.

All of our dogs receive vet care, are up to date on their vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed or neutered.
