Hot Cross Buns had a bit of a rough start and was very people shy but she has finally decided people are her favorite! She is cat and dog friendly, even trying to win over the grumpiest furry friends with her gentle persistence. Hot Cross Buns is a silly girl. She plops down in front of you for attention constantly, often with her bottom up in the air in the cutest little "look at me" pose. She regularly sleeps with her people and will make sure you are groomed while you sleep, sharing your pillow and personal space. She is chatty and playful, with people and her cat friends. She loves all kinds of toys and enjoys being picked up, rewarding any and all attention with the biggest purr motor. Hot Cross Buns and her sister, Little Miss Muffet, love to chase and wrestle, making them a good pairing. Hot Cross Buns would love a calmer house with other animals. More about this rescue
We're a home-based rescue, so there's always someone around to care for the dogs. Most of our dogs are allowed to roam the main yard (as long as they behave themselves), and we have several food and water stations throughout. Every evening, the dogs are tucked into our kennel building with soft bedding.
Our focus is family-friendly dogs who get along with everyone. Of course, we sometimes don't know a dog's temperament until we meet, but we work hard to ensure dogs are going to the right homes for them.
