Meet Josie. She’s fat, fabulous, and flat-out uninterested in your opinion.
Josie is a full-figured diva with big opinions and exactly zero interest in other animals, children, or anyone who doesn’t understand that she rules the household. She accepts pets on her terms (and trust us, those terms are strict), but once in a blue moon, she’ll grace you with affection. Consider it an honor.
When the sun goes down, her inner gremlin comes out—she loves chasing humans around the house during her nightly zoomie sessions. And if you think she’s judging you… you’re right. She is. Constantly.
Josie also has FeLV (Feline Leukemia Virus), which means she’ll need to be the only cat in your home. But don’t worry—she’s more than enough cat all on her own. She’s also stunningly beautiful, especially when she’s asleep (which, thankfully, is often).
Adopting Josie isn’t about finding a pet—it’s about pledging loyalty to a queen. If you’re bold enough to handle her royal highness, fill out an application. She’s waiting (probably judging).

We are not a shelter, but have a small network of foster homes who have opened their hearts to help cats and kittens in need. Our cats and kittens are all spayed/neutered and up to date on their vaccines. To see our available cats and kittens in person, please fill out an application on humaneohio.org to schedule an appointment to meet the cat or kitten you are interested in.
