Fizz’s story started on a busy street, where he was bravely sticking by his little poodle friend’s side. They were both in danger, standing in traffic, until a kind human scooped them up to safety. From the moment Fizz was in her arms, he melted right in and covered her in grateful kisses, the same affection he gives every day!
Despite a rough patch at the shelter that landed him on the euthanasia list through no fault of his own, Fizz never lost his big heart or his trust in people. Since coming into foster care, he’s proven what an incredible dog he truly is. He’s potty trained, knows “sit”, and is quickly mastering “lay down.”
Every morning, Fizz wakes up ready to take on the world with a smile and a wiggle! He loves meeting new people, adores attention, and gets along well with other dogs, even when they’re not in the mood to play, he just shrugs it off with a happy tail.

1. Tour the kennels and find a pet you’re interested in. The shelter staff can help you get acquainted with your new friend.
2. Bring in the family (even the four-legged members) to meet your prospective pet.
3. Once you've made a decision, head to the ACS Adoption Center to complete your adoption.
NOTE: Adoptions are processed 30 minutes prior to closing time.
