My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Cleo – Your New Best Friend!

Cleo is one of the most affectionate dogs you’ll ever meet. She’s happiest when she’s close to her people—snuggling on the couch, curling up beside you, or following you from room to room. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion, Cleo is your girl.

This sweet pup loves other dogs and adores her foster brothers, Moose and Wally. Whether she’s napping by their side or playing tug-of-war, Cleo shines when she’s part of the pack. She enjoys wrestling, bursts of playful zoomies, and is learning the fun of fetch—but she’s also content to nap the day away.

Cleo is gentle, food-motivated, and a quick learner. She knows “sit,” “lay down,” and “go to your bed” (crate) and is working on “leave it.” While she sometimes takes treats a little too eagerly, she’s eager to please and responds beautifully to redirection. Her “play bark” can sound a bit intimidating, but it’s all part of her goofy, happy personality.

At night, Cleo goes into her crate without a fuss and sleeps peacefully. She’s not destructive, though she’ll occasionally carry a shoe to another room just for fun. If she gets the zoomies and needs something to chew, a toy or bone keeps her perfectly happy.

Cleo would thrive in a home with another dog and likely with children too—she hasn’t met kids yet, but her gentle, affectionate nature suggests she’d do wonderfully. She hasn’t been tested with cats. She’s learning to enjoy longer walks, walks politely on leash with her harness, and even seems to like “dressing up”—especially when she gets to show off her bandanna!

In short: Cleo is the ultimate snuggle buddy. She’s affectionate, friendly, playful, and oh-so-loving. She’ll be the heart of her future family and a loyal companion for life.

Adoption fee: $50

Cleo is part of our Home to Home Program. Although they are not a Pawmetto Lifeline dog, they have received the same high standards of care. Vaccinations and spay/neuter are included in the adoption fee. Pawmetto Lifeline wants every animal to have a chance to find a loving home.
