Shepherd has been putting in the work, and he’s doing it with grace. He recently completed his heartworm treatment like an absolute champ and is currently following his activity restrictions as he waits for his next big milestone: being chosen by a family of his own. He has done wonderfully on Adventure Tails outings, respecting his limits while soaking up time in public with calm curiosity and easygoing charm.
During his time in foster, Shepherd has learned two important things. Couches make excellent nap spots, and home life suits him very well. He is affectionate, gentle, and people-oriented. He enjoys companionship, attention, and being part of the action without needing to be the center of chaos. He’s the kind of dog who makes everything feel steadier just by being nearby.
Shepherd has already shown resilience, patience, and a whole lot of heart. Now he’s ready for his next chapter, one filled with consistency, comfort, and someone who truly sees how special he is.

Our adoption process is easy! No home visits, no reference checks. We have many dogs and cats available for adoption.
Our adoption fee includes spay/neuter surgery, microchip & registration, basic vaccines, rabies vaccine (4 months and older), age-appropriate blood testing (6 months and older), flea/tick/heartworm treatments, and deworming.
As a non-profit organization, our adoption fees help us to offset some of these costs.
Note - you must be 18 years or older to adopt.
