My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Rubee, a sweet black and white beauty who seems to understand that a great name comes with a certain responsibility: namely, being adorable at all times. And fortunately for everyone involved, Rubee is more than up to the task.

With her lovely coat and gentle nature, Rubee has the kind of charm that sneaks up on you. She is sweet in that effortless way, the kind of cat who makes a room feel softer just by being in it. No big sales pitch needed. She is simply very easy to love.

If you are looking for a darling companion with a sparkling name and an even sweeter personality, come meet Rubee. She may not be an actual gem, but she is making a very convincing case.

More about this shelter

Founded in 1868, The SF SPCA is a community-supported nonprofit dedicated to saving, protecting and caring for cats and dogs. We do this through immediate care of animals that are homeless, ill or in need of an advocate, but we also work to educate the community, reduce the number of unwanted kittens and puppies through spaying/neutering, and improve the quality of life for animals and their companions.
