My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Tallulah (aka Lullah)!

This sweet 1-year-old Pitbull mix has already overcome more than most pups should ever have to endure. When she first came into rescue, Tallulah weighed just 13 lbs., was severely emaciated, and had painful pressure sores all over her little body. But with love, care, and time, she has blossomed into a healthy, happy girl weighing in at 30 lbs.—and her goofy smile says it all!

Tallulah’s personality is starting to shine, and she’s proving to be the ultimate lovebug. She adores being affectionate and comforted, and she’ll happily curl up in your arms to be carried like a baby. Once she trusts you, there’s nothing she won’t tolerate—she’s loyal and deeply connected to her people.

This silly girl is also food-motivated and loves to scavenge for treats (which makes training extra rewarding). She’s currently working on containing her excitement when she sees other pups because she just wants to play, play, play! While she has shown mild resource guarding with other dogs, she has never shown any guarding toward humans.

Tallulah’s foster mom says she is truly a special soul who deserves only the best forever home. After all the abuse she endured, she needs a family who will cherish her and show her nothing but love, patience, and kindness. Whoever adopts her will be gaining the most affectionate, goofy, and resilient companion.

If you think Tallulah might be the perfect fit for your family, don’t wait—this sweet girl is ready to meet her forever!

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Our animals are kept in foster care until we find them the best forever home. All prespective adopters fill out our interest form and have a home check as well as a meet and greet with the animal they are considering adopting. A small adoption fee is asked for depending on the animal and it's age etc. An adoption contract is signed by both parties and if there is any issue with the animal after adoption the adopter agrees to return the animal to us.

More about this rescue

Our dream at Vegas Pet Rescue Project is to positively impact the Las Vegas homeless, abused and abandoned pets that overwhelm our shelter system by giving them a new lease on LIFE. Our primary focus will be to assist the local animal shelters (Animal Foundation and Henderson Shelter) with the pets who have been given limited time to be adopted before they are removed from the shelter system due to a multitude of reasons. We will accomplish this goal through our extensive network of foster families, donations, and sponsors. We would also like to help finance spay and neuter programs to help low income families be responsible pet owners and decrease the overpopulation issues we face in Vegas. We also feel it important to collect pet supplies and food for local rescues and the city’s Good Samaritans who foster rescue pets and take in strays. Eventually we would love to help create a volunteer based program to investigate and bring down illegal breeding. We have been helping the pet rescue effort in the city for 3 years now and feel like we are just getting started.
