Meet Onyx – A Gentle Soul with a Heart Full of Love
Onyx is an extraordinary boy whose sweetness shines through, even after the hardships he has faced. He is affectionate, playful, and endlessly loving—always ready to curl up in your lap, enjoy a gentle brushing, or make you smile with his easygoing charm. Onyx even gets along well with dogs, making him a wonderful addition to a multi-pet household.
From the very beginning, life wasn’t easy for Onyx. He was found alone and underweight after his mother was tragically hit by a car, just a tiny baby who had to be bottle-fed to survive. Because he’s been lovingly handled by people since those early days, Onyx is incredibly comfortable around humans and has grown into the sweetest companion.
For much of his young life, Onyx lived happily with two of his siblings who he was bonded wiht. However since it is difficult to place multiple cats together, it was decided that Onyx—being the most outgoing and friendly—woudl go on his own. Though he has endured loss, Onyx’s spirit remains unshakably joyful. He is proof that love and resilience can shine even through sadness.
Born on June 3, 2024, Onyx would do best in a home with another cat-friendly feline companion. He is a true gem: playful, loving, and loyal, ready to bring comfort, joy, and companionship to a lucky adopter.
If you’re looking for a gentle, affectionate kitty who has already proven how strong and resilient love can be, Onyx is waiting to meet you.

Additional adoption info
Once you've filled out an application, we will contact your references and put you in touch with the foster/caregiver of the cat. Once your application is approved, we schedule you to attend a Zoom group seminar on cat care. We invite both novice and experienced alike to attend. Then you would sign the adoption agreement, pay the adoption fee, and make arrangements for the cat to be moved to your home. We always do a home visit which is both reassuring to the cat when it is being introduced and to the foster who has taken care of the cat. Presently we are doing home visits with FaceTime or Zoom to confirm you have secure windows, no toxic plants and a generally safe environment for a cat. The adoption fee is $150 for one cat under 7 years old, $75 for one cat 7 years and older.
All cats have been tested for the Feline Leukemia and FIV virus, vaccinated (FVRCP and Rabies vaccines), microchipped, dewormed and spayed/neutered. If you adopt kittens that are too young to be altered, we will arrange the spay/neuter/microchip at a later date at a partner vet.
