Here's what the humans have to say about me:
ADOPT GENERAL ❤❤❤
From Dollar General to Your Living Room 🛒➡️🏡
Bless his big, gentle heart.
General was adopted… then abandoned… then survived on his own for six weeks, staying close to a Dollar General store like he was waiting for someone to come back for him.
No one did.
Now he’s safe. And this sweet, loyal, slightly confused marshmallow of a boy is ready for the real forever home he always deserved. 💔🐾
General is 2 years old, 70 pounds, and has the soul of a labrador retriever raised by a golden retriever therapist. He wants love. Stability. And maybe a couch big enough for both of you. 🥹
✨ The Highlights That Matter ✨
🐶 Dog friendly – from tiny puppies to full-grown pals
👶 Kid approved – patient, gentle, and steady
🐱 Cat tolerant – basically “you do you, cat”
🚗 Great in the car – road trip co-pilot energy
🦮 Leash savvy – walks like a gentleman, not a freight train
🛋️ Calm for his age – more “couch cuddle” than “chaos gremlin”
💞 Professional Leaner™ – his favorite move is resting his whole heart against you
🍑 Butt-scratch enthusiast – 10/10, would recommend
What General Needs
🏡 A secure fenced yard
🩺 An adopter with a solid vet history
⏳ A little patience while he learns this time… he’s really home
✨ Ask about our January adoption specials!
Includes neuter, vaccines, microchip, deworming, heartworm test & prevention, flea/tick treatment.
👉 Apply to adopt General: https://www.arlorescue.com/adoption-form.html
Let’s get this boy out of foster and into the soft, safe, boring, forever life he deserves. 🐾💛
