My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

WOOF! I'M CARTER, a sweet, loving and happy 4-year-old Doberman/Shepherd mix who needs a foster or forever home. I love humans and being around my person or people. I was originally rescued from a California shelter and am now am in Washington! I am house-trained and crate trained (I love my crate)

I love running, playing with my squeaky toys, going for walks and snuggling with humans. If you let me, I'll share your bed! I have an easygoing and funny personality, and am looking for someone to offer me a safe and comfortable home. I would do well with a fenced yard as I love to do the zoomies! I'm super smart and I learn quickly: I know the commands of "easy" (when I'm getting a treat), "stay" and I am learning to sit on command.

I'm very receptive to training and am food motivated and super smart! I'm good with some dogs, and I learned quickly to be with horses in a respective way. Still, I would thrive as an only pet, only because I love attention from humans so much!

I would do well in an active, calm, family-oriented environment, with a single person, a couple or a family. I love kids, and would love to wrestle with teenagers! I can also be low energy as I love to lay around and relax, too.

I can pull on a leash during walks, and be protective of the home and my people, but those are my only traits that could use a little work. :)

Overall, I'm a wonderful dog who deserves a great home. I am a gentle giant who will thrive in a home where he’s given structure and consistent training. With love and some minor training, I will be an amazing companion. I weigh 68 lbs. Please email for an application!
