I may not have had the easiest start to life, but I’m learning every day what it means to be safe, loved, and part of a family. When I first arrived, I wasn’t sure about this whole “house dog” thing, but I’m catching on quickly! I’m doing really well with potty training and can usually hold it about three hours. My pooping schedule is already right on track—progress is being made, step by step!
Crates used to scare me, but now I happily eat all my meals in mine and even spend short amounts of time there with yummy treats. I’m still learning how to stay in it longer, but my food motivation makes it fun (and delicious) to practice.
Walking on a leash? I’ve got that nailed! I walk beautifully and don’t pull—unless I catch the scent of a critter, then I get a little excited. Since my vision isn’t the best, I rely on my other senses and do an amazing job. Sometimes I bump into things like mailboxes or need a little help around obstacles, but I don’t let it slow me down. A little guidance and a gentle voice go a long way with me.
I’m not sure how I feel about other dogs or kids just yet, but I’m working on slow introductions. Because I can’t see too well, I can get startled if someone comes up on me too quickly, so talking to me as you approach helps a lot.
My personality? I’m a calm and quiet girl. You won’t hear me barking or “woo-wooing”—not yet, anyway. I’m not destructive, even when I have free roam of my safe space overnight. Sometimes I do silly “couch zoomies,” which are guaranteed to make you laugh.
I’m still learning the basics of living in a home, working on commands like sit, come, down, and even “place.” I get very excited at mealtime, so my foster family is helping me learn patience and calmness.
What makes me extra special is my heart. I don’t know if I ever had love before, but I sure know what it feels like now—and I can’t get enough. I’m affectionate, cuddly, and always ready to be close to my people. Sit on the couch, and I’ll be right there, practically leaping into your lap for snuggles. I adore massages, belly rubs, and just being by your side.
Despite my challenges, I am a sweet soul with so much love to give. All I want is a family to keep learning and growing with, and to love with my whole heart.

More about this rescue
We started this small rescue in rememberance that rescue work is strictly about the dogs. We do our best to help save as many dogs as we can with our limited resourses.
We can always use volunteers and Foster homes to help us accommplish this task. Any donations would be greatly appreciated as well from $5 to $500 and they all go to helping more dogs.
