I adopted Jaxx during the COVID 19 pandemic after losing my German Shepherd, Sam. He came into my life at a time of loss and became a steady, loyal companion. Jaxx is extremely intelligent and knows his core commands, like sit, down, stand, and heel, and he genuinely enjoys mental challenges like hide-and-seek and treat puzzles.
Indoors, Jaxx is calm, well-mannered, and relaxed, with only normal excitement at the door. He does very well with my daughter’s tiny 2yr old Morkie, showing he can coexist peacefully with small dogs. Outside, Jaxx can be reactive and needs a patient, confident handler who understands guidance and consistency.
Rehoming Jaxx is not a decision I’ve made lightly. I am leaving the country, and he deserves a stable home with someone who can help him thrive. Jaxx learns quickly, bonds deeply, and will be an incredibly devoted companion to the right person.
