If the one who should love you instead tied you to a post and walked away, could you trust again? Moose is trying - but he needs you to meet him (at least) halfway. Someone did teach him to walk on a leash, and his nature is naturally quiet and calm. What really lights up his life? Other dogs! His love and trust of dogs in undiminished and could be the most direct way to heal his heart.

The adoption fee for dogs includes vaccinations (DA2PLP+CV, Bordatella, Rabies) spaying/neutering, heartworm check, deworming, heartworm prevention, flea preventative, and microchip.

The adoption fee for cats includes a full exam (feleck/FIV tested, FVRCP), spaying/ neutering, rabies, deworming, and flea preventative.

If you wish to adopt a pet you will need to fill out an adoption application. You can either pick one up at the shelter or email the shelter to request an application be emailed to you.

The Calhoun County Humane Society, Inc. (dba The Animal Shelter), located in Anniston, Alabama, was established in 1973 as a result of the efforts of Susan Levens Phillips.
