My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Currently in Vancouver!!!

Meet Huchu – Searching for His Forever Home

Age: 4 years

Weight: 28kg

Sex: Neutered male

Color: Black & white

Huchu’s story is heartbreaking—he was once on the euthanasia list at a city shelter in 2022, his life nearly taken before it truly began. Thankfully, he was rescued, and since then he’s been waiting quietly, hoping someone would finally see him and give him the love he deserves.

Despite what he’s been through, Huchu’s gentle soul shines through. He’s polite with people and dogs, calm on walks, fully house-trained, and shows no signs of separation anxiety. At home, he’s quiet and non-destructive, happy just to be near you. He even allows his paws to be touched and stays calm during cleaning—always patient, always trusting.

He’s also an excellent traveler, hopping into the car with ease and riding peacefully by your side.

He adapts beautifully to home life—content, low-maintenance, and so easy to love.

Gentle with a cat!

Huchu has already lost so much, but he hasn’t lost hope. What he needs now is a family who will give him the security he’s been waiting for, someone who will promise him forever.

Please open your heart and consider adopting Huchu. He has been waiting far too long, and he deserves to finally come home.

More about this rescue

Adopt Korean Rescue is a volunteer-based federally registered not-for-profit organization dedicated to helping homeless and unwanted dogs in South Korea find a new home in Canada.

We love Korean dogs. Many of them live in chains, give birth on the side of the road, or wander around with their pups. Some of them get caught and end up at dog meat farms or high-kill shelters in South Korea. They luckily meet us just before euthanasia or after many years of living in dog meat farms. We exist to hold their paws and help them find a forever home in Canada full of joy and happiness.

Our dog rescue work depends on our flight volunteers. They help us safely bring our dogs from Korea to Vancouver or Toronto airports, where the dogs will find loving forever or foster homes.
