Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Charles has a sad story. His front teeth are filed down to the gums. (See photos in comments) Sometimes this can be from eating rocks, or chewing on the bars of a kennel but it's likely we will never know the cause. He was picked up as a stray and his story before finding us is completely unknown.
Charles is a large senior boy, weighing in at around 67lbs. A volunteer took pity on this sad, old boy and took him home to foster. He is currently living with a cat and a female dog similar in size to Charles. He is on pain medication for his teeth, but that's not likely a long term solution. He will need extensive dental work. Our hope is to find a rescue (or an adopter) who will be able to cover the expense of Charlie's dental work and then allow him to recover with them. We know this is a big ask. If we can't find someone willing to take this big guy on, we will be crowd sourcing the cost of his surgery. We aren't going to abandon this boy. His foster has already agreed to provide transportation and to allow him to recover at her house if that's the path we need to take.
