My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bean is a gentle soul who’s been through quite an ordeal, but you’d never know it by her sweet, trusting nature. Abandoned alongside her six littermates, she was rescued just when things seemed hopeless. Now safe, healthy, and so grateful for kindness, Alberta is eager to start the next chapter of her life with a loving family.

This affectionate girl has already mastered important skills—she’s housetrained and walks beautifully on a leash, making her an excellent companion for daily strolls around the neighborhood. Her submissive nature means she gets along well with gentle children and other easygoing pets. Bean truly aims to please and would thrive in a calm, nurturing environment where she can continue to build confidence and become the loyal best friend she’s meant to be.

If you’re looking for a sweet, devoted companion who will fill your life with unconditional love, Bean might be the perfect match. She’s ready and waiting to find a forever home that will give her the stability and care she deserves. Come meet this beautiful pup, and see if she’s the one who’ll complete your family.~~If you are interested in this animal, you can complete the questionnaire found on the available pets page of our website http://hbpr.org. More about this rescue

Homeward Bound is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, no-kill organization based in Gilmer County, Georgia, which began in August 2000. We are dedicated to providing a safe and nurturing environment for unwanted companion animals, while actively seeking permanent homes through our adoption programs. We take in dogs and cats that are found as strays, owner surrenders and abandoned. We also take animals out of high kill shelters to prevent them from being euthanized. We have rescued and adopted out about 7,000 animals.
