At 6 ½ years old, Kara is the picture of gentleness and love. She’s perfectly content to simply lay by your side, bringing peace and quiet companionship. Kara came to us pregnant after surviving a house fire that destroyed the home she shared with several other dogs.
Now safe in her foster home, Kara has bonded deeply with her foster’s elderly gentleman, showing us just how tender and calm she is with seniors. This sweet girl is ready for a forever family of her own, where she can continue to love and be loved.

We are a non-profit 501c3 Animal Rescue located in Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas. Our passion is centered around assisting animals that have been abandoned, neglected, or abused. We are a foster-based rescue consisting of 100% volunteers.

Adoption Applications are digital and can be located on our website www.texasacr.org/forms
Interview
This is typically completed via phone. We also call and verify references as well as Land Lord approval is applicable.
Home Check
We do require the applicant to send us a video of their yard focusing on the fence line.

Adoption fees range from $150-$450 based on the pet. Please verify adoption fee on our website by looking at the individual pets listing.
