My name is Fiona!

hi Fiona,

this beauty is a 5 1/2 year old Red Labrador Retriever. She was surrendered to us from a commercial breeder in Lancaster who bought her to be a guard dog at the far. She is 90 lbs.

In our care, Fiona has been great. She has been sweet and social with her volunteers, allowing all handling without issues. She is curious about her surroundings but also enjoys laying down in the sun, in the play yard and having some lazy time to herself. She has been an excellent lady with us.

At the farm, we were told, she was purchased to be a guard dog. Sadly, she was not treated very well. We do not know if it was stressed induced or something else, but we were told she and another dog attacked a different, smaller dog on the farm. She also spent 6 months on a short chain in a barn.

She is very much in need of a loving and understanding home that will help her forget all the bad that happened prior to coming to us. Due to her past, at this time, she is looking for a home with no small dogs. Homes with large dogs will need to do a dog meet to see if Fiona and resident dog are compatible.

She will come spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and 4dx tested.
