This handsome 6-year-old Retriever mix has the kind of charm that will melt your heart. With his tan coat and the cutest ears that stand straight up, Nemo is as striking as he is sweet.
Nemo has a gentle and loving personality. He adores spending time outside, whether it’s going on a walk or simply soaking up the sunshine. Hugs are one of his favorite things, and he’ll happily be part of whatever you’re doing—he just loves being close to his people. And if you really want to win him over, bring some chicken jerky treats (though he’s still learning to be a little gentler when taking them!). This boy would likely be fine in either a house or an apartment, as long as he gets his daily walks and quality time with you.
Important Note: Nemo is selective with cats or dogs and would need a meet and greet before adopting. That or he could be an only animal in the home, but that just means he has all the more love to give his humans!
If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate companion who will be your best friend through it all, Nemo is ready to fill that role and shower you with love.

More about this shelter
The Colony Animal Services strives to protect andTCAS LOGO-UPDATED nurture The City of The Colony’s lost, homeless, abused, injured, and sick pets. We seek to provide animals the opportunity to be reclaimed, adopted, rehabilitated, or rescued. It is the mission for the Animal Service Officers and volunteers to pursue a positive synergy and to serve the citizens and pets of The Colony.
Animal Services is committed to saving each and every animal that comes into our care. Over the last few years, we have improved our live release rate to 97%. We hold our standards high at keeping this percentage, and in doing so, we ask our rescue partners and citizens to help us pursue finding our animals forever homes.
Every year, we get over a hundred injured and sick animals that need our help. In order for us to help them, we use our donated medical fund to give them the proper care and treatment they need. The only way for us to provide this needed medical care is through our generous financial donors. Every penny donated is sent to our medical fund. Please help us continue this much needed medical care for our animals by donating. Even if you cannot donate, it is a huge help to share posts on social media.
