My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Have you been searching for a loveable boy who loves people? Ty is the kind of cat who makes you feel chosen. At three years old, he’s past the chaos of kittenhood but still full of playful bursts and curiosity. With his linebacker build and marshmallow heart, Ty is a lovable gentle giant with an eager, easygoing spirit who is just happy to be near you, whether you’re on the move or settling in. Ty does everything with gusto – eat, play, cuddle, zoomie and chill! He’ll flop at your feet, roll over for affection, and loves snuggling under the covers or on your lap or chest with his little face close to yours. Ty’s dog-cat vibes are strong and he follows you from room to room, chases his tail for fun, and sprints for dry treats like it’s a sport. He’s chatty when excited - especially during playtime, mealtime, or a good zoomie session. Ty is very playful and he loves wand toys, chasing things, and sunny spots to lounge like royalty. Though he prefers not to be shut away for long, Ty is fine solo while you work and has settled quickly into his foster home. Ty thrives with a playmate, and would like another cat friend to match his energy. We don’t yet know how Ty is with dogs or children, but his gentle nature suggests he may adapt well.

Ty was surrendered with three other cats when his owner could no longer care for him. He’s been in foster for too long – it’s time to find his forever home at last!

If you’re ready for a loyal and loving companion, Ty might be your perfect match! He is ready to be your loyal sidekick - full of heart, humour, and hero energy.

As we often receive numerous applications for each cat or kitten, we will only contact applicants who best suit the needs of the cat or kitten. For example, if it is stipulated that the cat needs another cat buddy at home and you do not have one, you may not receive a response. Finding the best home for our cat or kitten is our top priority. Applications are not first-come, first-served.

More about this rescue

Home at Last Rescue (HALR) is a Registered Canadian Charity, that is 100% volunteer driven. Our goal is to rescue cats from substandard living conditions and give them the loving homes they deserve.

We provide medical care, emotional support and a loving environment while preparing them to find their forever homes. With no physical location, all of our cats and kittens reside in loving foster homes across the Greater Toronto Area until they are ready for adoption.

We receive no government funding and rely solely on adoption fees, donations and our fundraising efforts to support our initiatives. We believe there is a home for every cat and a cat for every home.
