My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Athena is an energetic, athletic, adventurous,
and intelligent puppy She is house- and leash-
trained. She is still learning crate training. She is super good with all ages of people and other dogs (not cat tested yet).

She would do super-well with someone or a family who could give her the time to give her the daily exercise (not a walk around the block!) and stimulation she needs! Active people are encouraged to apply. (JH)

Estimated adult weight is about 40 pounds, no guarantees.

A sibling's DNA is attached for reference.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Thank you for choosing to adopt a rescue dog! Whether you adopt from Rocket Dog or another rescue group, the fact is you will save a life. Adopting a rescued animal is a lifetime commitment! The first step in our adoption process is completing an adoption questionnaire here: https://www.rocketdogrescue.org/adopt/adoption-application/

From there, you will be contacted by a volunteer to talk more about what you're looking for and if the dog you're interested in might be a good fit.

Adoption application

Go meet their pets

Our dogs live both in foster homes and at the Rocket Dog Sanctuary in Oakland. The best way to arrange a meeting for a specific dog is to fill out an adoption questionnaire on our website here: https://www.rocketdogrescue.org/adopt/adoption-application/

We have adoption events every weekend throughout the Bay Area, which you can see here - https://www.rocketdogrescue.org/events/
