My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ready to solve your rodent problem? Adopt a working cat!

These aren't your average lap cats—they're skilled, independent professionals looking for a job. Our barn cats are feral or semi-feral, so they're not looking for cuddles, but they are looking for a safe place to live, like a barn, garage, or shed.

In return for food, water, and shelter, they'll be your full-time pest control, keeping your property free of rodents and other critters. There's no fee to adopt—just the commitment to providing a safe home and a reliable food source for your new, hard-working employee.

Think you have the perfect job opening? Let's talk about adding a working cat to your team!

Their adoption process

1.

Submit Application

Visit our website at www.bwar.org/adopt and fill out our adoption survey. This helps us get to know you and make a good match.

2.

Visit the Facility and Find a Pet

We have all adopters to meet an animal at the shelter or in foster before taking them home. Dog adoptions currently require an appointment.

3.

Meet the Pet

Meet with our available animals and speak with one of our experienced adoption counselors. You may visit with more than one animal.

4.

Sign Adoption Contract

Once you have met your perfect match, most of our animals are ready to go home the same day! Most of our animals do have an adoption fee.

Additional adoption info

Brother Wolf Animal Rescue works to remove barriers in the adoption process and work collaboratively with our adopters. We ask that all adopters fill out our online adoption survey so we can learn more about you and help to make the perfect match. You can fill out the survey on our website: www.bwar.org/adopt.

Most of our animals are ready to go home with you the same day you meet them.

All animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccines.

Adoption fees are refundable within two weeks from the date of adoption if the animal is returned.

Adopters are required to be at least 18 years of age.

Adoptions end at the Adoption Center’s scheduled closing time – 6pm Tuesday to Saturday.
