My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

PALOMA is a female spayed short hair white/calico cat. She was born about Aug. 2023. We don’t have details of her early life. She was rescued as a stray with her very young litter by a kind person, then accepted by YAPS late June 2025. We find her to be calm, gentle, very playful, & VERY loving. If you place a feather toy on a wand in her kennel, she may amuse herself with it for 10-15 minutes at a time. Paloma usually comes to you for affection from her resting place. She LOVES being petted, or held in your lap/arms as long as you wish – may purr softly, nuzzle you, &/or “talk” to you with meows in appreciation. She doesn’t get along well with some other cats – may do best as the only cat in the home. Paloma is a staff & volunteer favorite due to her very gentle, playful, & loving nature.

Additional adoption info

Our animals can be viewed either on our website under the adopt a pet tab, in person at our facility located at 11937 13th Street in Yucaipa, or you can call us for more information. If you choose to come and visit, feel free to wander through the kennels and cattery. If you find an animal that you like, please come to the office for more information. After that you will have the opportunity to interact with the animal and learn more about its history and background. If after the meet and greet you decide that you would like to adopt the animal and our experience leads us to believe that it is a good fit, you can pay the adoption fee and begin life with your new best friend.
