My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Say hello to Finnigan — a sweet, social boy who came into our care after spending his life as a much-loved pet. He’s happiest around humans and would do best as an only feline. Finnigan is our office cat, often perched on the chair with his front legs dangling (LOL) or rubbing the back of your head while you work. He’ll even hop onto your desk for some headbutts! Confident and affectionate, Finnigan makes his presence known in the best way — seeking out love and happily telling his stories. While he hasn’t been tested with dogs, he may do well with a calm, well-mannered companion. If you’re looking for a cat to brighten every single day, Finnigan can’t wait to meet you.

More about this shelter

The Gananoque & District Humane Society (GDHS) is a volunteer run no kill animal shelter that takes in abandoned or surrendered animals, provides them with medical care and attempts to find them forever homes. Every animal that enters GDHS is quarantined, assessed and examined by a vet (if necessary), spayed or neutered, microchipped, and given vaccinations prior to being available for adoption. We do not receive guaranteed funding from any source and rely on the generosity of our community.
