Meet Rambutan ??
At 2 years old, Rambutan is a Domestic Shorthair with a serene soul and a quietly confident presence. With her sleek coat and thoughtful eyes, she carries herself like a cat who’s seen the world — or at least every inch of the living room.
Rambutan is affectionate on her own terms — she’ll come to you when she’s ready to share her warmth, curling up beside you like she’s always belonged there. She enjoys bird-watching from the window, soft blankets, and the occasional burst of playful energy (especially when string toys are involved).
She’s independent, elegant, and full of subtle charm. Rambutan doesn’t need to be the center of attention — she just needs a cozy home, a bit of patience, and someone who appreciates a cat with quiet depth and an occasional playful streak.

Our adoption fee is $150.00 for dogs, $75 for kittens under 6 months of age and $50 for all cats 6 months and older. This will include a rabies vaccination (if age appropriate), spay or neuter, a microchip with registration, and all other age appropriate vaccinations.

We are the all admittance shelter in Johnson County, we are not a 501c3, but a county run facility. We try our best to place each and every animal. We also house all animals picked up by Animal Control therefore; we intake a high volume of animals each year.
