My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet our little spitfire Croquet! Croquet came to Longmeadow in the summer of 2025. This little girl has a BIG personality. She makes us laugh and isn’t afraid to tell us how she feels!

Our trainers swear to us that she hasn’t lived up to the spitfire title when she’s with them. They say that while she definitely has a bold personality and isn’t shy about expressing herself (she’s more vocal than the others), she’s been well-mannered overall for her evaluation. She stands tied, is good for grooming, picks up her feet, stands well for the farrier, and hops right into the trailer without hesitation. Oral medications and dewormer can be a bit of a challenge for this little pony, but with time and consistency (and maybe a little bit of molasses on a syringe…), we think she can be taught to handle it!

Though small in stature, Croquet carries herself with confidence and presence. She is the epitome of tiny but mighty. She does fine as a lead line pony for a kid, quietly trotting along while being led, but she doesn’t yet know how to ride off on her own. With her spark and solid groundwork, she has the potential to grow into more with the right training.

Croquet could be a fun and feisty addition for someone looking for a pony with a bit of flair! Think she’d do well in your herd at home? Apply for adoption today!

*It should be noted that Croquet has been diagnosed with Cushings Disease by a vet and will require a dose of daily Prascend in her future home to maintain her comfort levels.*
