G'day potential Paw Parents! My name is Tucker and I am a male, 1 year old, purebred Australian Shepherd, and I'm looking for my forever home and Hooman. When I came to Golden Paws, I was pretty skittish, but I have improved a lot since then. I'll warm up to you after I get to know you a bit. Really, I just want to be loved and to play. Pretty simple, right? If you aren't familiar with us, Australian Shepherds are very intelligent. We are highly trainable and have a great work ethic. We love to have a job to do and have strong herding instincts. If we don't have sheep to herd, we're just as likely to herd chickens, or ducks or children. We love exercise, mental stimulation, and training. As I said, I'm still skittish, so I don't do very well with other dogs yet. I don't like fast movements from my Hooman either. I just need time with a very patient Hooman who will help me get over my standoffishness and shyness. Someone who will not give up. That's fair dinkum. (I know, Australian Shepherds were pretty much bred in the United States, but people still expect you to be Australian.) I am a tricolor Aussie and I will weigh between 26 to 60 lbs. I have been neutered and have had all my shots. So fill out an application and come on in for a visit Potential Paw Parent! Crikey! You know it's the right thing to do, for both of us. See you soon, and we'll go Waltzing Matilda together!
Love,
Tucker
