Not every cat has people calling in to vouch for them, but Tom Tom does. He has touched so many hearts that he now has his very own fan club, all rooting for him to find the loving home he deserves.
When Tom Tom, estimated to be 2 - 3 years old, first appeared back in February, he was a timid little soul who had clearly endured far too much. Thin, limping from an abscess, covered in scratches, and nursing wounds on his tail and near his eye, he carried the weight of a hard life outdoors.
Fast forward to today, and thanks to time, patience, and gentle care, Tom Tom has blossomed into the cat he was always meant to be: affectionate, gentle, and full of love. Once he trusts you, he becomes a snuggly, playful lovebug who enjoys kisses, belly rubs, and just being close to his people. He truly loves everyone—kids and adults alike.
Tom Tom does have a couple of special needs. He eats a rabbit protein prescription diet for IBS, and while he uses his litter box faithfully, he sometimes needs a little cleanup help, likely due to mild nerve weakness in his hind legs. In other words he needs his booty wiped sometimes but he never complains—his sweet nature shines through in everything he does.
He gets along well with other friendly and non-confrontational cats and is learning how to play, but he’d also do wonderfully as a solo companion in a calm, patient, and loving home. The only thing he can’t do is return to the outdoors—those days are behind him. Tom Tom is strictly an indoor cat now, ready to spend his days safe and cherished.
This gentle, loyal boy is searching for his forever person—someone special who will look past the scars of his past and see the tender, devoted companion he has become.
