My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Pink Lady – A Quiet Beauty Waiting to Bloom 🌸🐱

Named after the delicate and delicious apple variety, Pink Lady is a shorthaired buff beauty with light tabby markings and a heart as gentle as her name.

She’s a calm, sweet girl who’s still adjusting to the hustle and bustle of shelter life. Pink Lady enjoys quiet companionship, soft head scratches, and gentle pets—but don’t be surprised if she’s tucked under her blankies during your visit.
Here are notes from her foster: "I finally got a pretty good pic of Pink Lady (aka Stinky aka The Potato). I think it shows what an absolute love she is. She's really come out of her shell. She loves bedtime, lots and lots of scritches. She will go mad for a belly rub and is hilariously squirmy, wiggle wiggle wiggle. You can pick her up easily; she just folds into your arms."

With time, patience, and a peaceful home, Pink Lady is sure to blossom into a loving and loyal companion.

More about this shelter

Humane Society for Inland Mendocino County, HSIMC, is a non-profit animal rescue and adoption center. Our team is dedicated to rescuing and placing abandoned and displaced animals into loving homes.

As a 501(c)(3), we receive no government funding and rely heavily on our community of supporters, grants, and fundraising.

We are located in Redwood Valley and hope you come visit us and the animals in our care. We also have many volunteer opportunities and invite you to join our team!

Volunteer orientation occurs the first Thursday and last Sunday of each month at 11am. Please check in at the front office, no appointment necessary. The orientation lasts about 45 minutes and anyone interested in dog walking can sign up for a 1:1 dog walking orientation with a senior volunteer or staff member. Our volunteers are welcome to volunteer anytime during open hours.

We hope to see you soon!
