You might be wondering why my kennel card is yellow—well, it’s because I’m a special kitty with a unique medical history! I was diagnosed with Feline Calicivirus (FCV), which can cause upper respiratory infections (URIs) and oral disease in cats. The good news? I’ve completed treatment and am currently healthy and feeling great! However, FCV can sometimes stay in a cat’s system even after recovery, and I might still shed the virus occasionally. Because of that, I need to be mindful about who I share my space with. My ideal home would be a home with no other cats, a home with a cat who already has FCV, or a home with a fully vaccinated adult cat who have strong immune systems. Sadly, I can’t live with kittens—their immune systems aren’t developed enough yet, and I want to keep them safe. Despite my past, I’m full of love and ready to find my furever home. I promise, I’ll make a wonderful companion to someone who understands my needs
