Figgy #19579: black & white tuxedo, short hair, neutered male, born approx. 10/1/23
Cats: young playful pal required Dogs: unknown Children: savvy tweens+
BACKGROUND: Figgy’s early life wasn’t ideal — his former family frequently traveled out of town for long periods of time, often leaving Figgy confined in a small enclosure. Thankfully, a kind volunteer stepped in and reached out to The Rescue House. Safe and looking dapper as ever, Figgy is ready to step his paws into his forever home!
PERSONALITY: Figgy is a big cat with a kitten’s heart! He’s energetic, playful, and always ready for fun. He loves chasing toy mice, carrying them proudly in his mouth, and wrestling stuffed animals. One of his favorite games is hiding around corners to give you a playful “gotcha!” He’s also an excellent bug hunter and will happily help keep your home insect-free. While Figgy isn’t a lap cat, he does enjoy spending time near his people. He often relaxes in the same room as you. Sometimes he’ll snuggle in bed for part of the night before retreating to his cat bed or tree. Like many spirited cats, he can get a little too excited and may nip or ankle-pounce, especially during playtime. His foster has been helping him learn boundaries, and he responds well when redirected. With a patient, cat-savvy adopter, Figgy will continue to polish up his kitty manners.
COMPATIBILITY: Figgy is at his best when he has another playful young kitty who can romp and keep up with his energy; he must have such a friend, though since he can play rough it should be a cat who is comfortable with that style of fun. His experience with dogs is unknown. Figgy would also do well with older kids (11+) who understand cat signals and are excited to help him burn off energy through play!
From silly antics to sweet companionship, Figgy has it all. He’s just waiting for the perfect match — maybe it’s you!
