This helps Bunny Buddies, Inc. with pet care costs.
Houdini has had a rough time! She was found alone in the parking lot of a local movie theater, and then surrendered to Bunny Buddies for medical care after the rescuer noticed scabby ears (mites), sore hocks, and some other medical concerns that needed urgent attention. Then — just days after landing in one of our foster homes — Houdini had a (surprise) litter. She wasn't ready, and wasn't nursing; despite our best efforts to supplement care and feed them, the little ones did not survive. If all of that wasn't enough, Houdini also developed an abscess on the side of her foot that had to be surgically removed at the same time as her spay.
Lucky for us, she's a great patient and a very tolerant rabbit — happy to take her medicine and eat well while we nursed her back to health. Now, Houdini is cleared for adoption with no serious lingering issues... as long as she has soft fleece flooring in her enclosure, to prevent future foot issues.
Houdini seems quite curious, and often stands/periscopes to see what you are doing and beg for pets — and treats. She hasn't had much time to really explore her foster home yet, but enjoys playing with stacking cups and other toys she can toss around, and her litter habits are great!
